- I'd check the bushings in the radius arms for play before attempting to set the ring & pinion clearance. These often sound quite similar to excessive clearance. Pulling the axles is straight forward

- Check the drive shaft bolts first. I had them come loose and it makes a clunk. Also check you leaf springs for a crack, it clunks too. Pulling the axle is easy, remove the brake drum, remove the axle

- Sorry to picky but since I've learnt the difference between posidrive and phillips I like to draw attention to the difference - I think the screws are Posidrive (at least on my car). Daniel1312 << re
