Yes, they should both be tube-type. If you are changing between wires and steel wheels you will need to change the handbrake cable as well. Roadster rear brake cylinders are smaller diameter than GT

Begging the question, what is the benefit of rear disc brakes on an MGB? I think I could come up with a lot of ways to spend the time and money that might actually have some positive real-world effec

Yes, i was basically interested because discs are much less "fiddly" to maintain than drums. Disc brakes are theoretically self-adjusting and don't fill up with dust and rusty bits like drum brakes d

Well, I can tell you why I am going rear discs, and it is a pretty sad answer too. It is purely because I got offered a great deal (being a GREAT deal) on the LSD that I was after... it just happens
