- I pulled my rear top links (aka radius arms?), to replace the bushings which were hard and brittle. To remove the bushings, I actually had to drill out the rubber part, and then cleaned out the holes

- On my '59 they are pressed in place, no welding was there when I removed the old ones, and the new ones went in without too much effort. Regards, Peter S. which out the the old are then

- If you look closely, you will notice that you have left the outer metal sleeve of the original bushing in the radius arm. You can remove this one of two ways. You can press it out if you have access

- Excellent advice. Having done this job a month ago, I'd only add that a stout balljoint press will do the job as well as a hydraulic press. -Glenn.

- For ease of installing new radius arm bushings try this trick. Place the new bushings in the freezer (ask the wife first) over night. heat the arms with a torch or if your wife is nice, in the oven.
