I just saw an ad someplace, probably in a catalog I have at home, for a complete front-end rebuild kit, including kingpins ready to go, for under $500, the ad saying all that was required was to bolt

I know that Brit Bits, which is where I was today, sells a kingpin kit for $350 provided you return the old ones ($450 if not). They said they do a rebuild for around $1200, obviously including labor

If king pins and swivles come assembled it is a bolt in job, If not new bushings ect must br reamed for assembly. Carl E.

True, but I guess "bolt it on" was relative respective that what all you're doing, but you're right it doesn't involve the reaming. But it's not an oil change either. - Tab price
