- Hi all, I have been offered an interior rear view mirror for my S3 Alpine. The problem is that the glass is broken. Can the glass be easily replaced? Advice from anyone who has 'been there, done that

- On my series V, I had a new mirror cut at a auto glass shop. Mine wasn't broken, so he used the old mirror as a template. I would try making one out of card stock to get the right fit, and have one

- I wouldn't use a "glue" that would come from a tube, but rather use the 3M body molding adhesive, foam tape. I don't have the proper name or 3M item number, but it has a red plastic backing that is p

- Go to a glass shop that replaces windows and mirrors in houses. There is a very specific mastic for mirror that doe s not attack the mirroring. All other glues will eventually ruin the mirror. They u

- I'm actaully not sure, but I remember hearing that silicone is NOT a good choice. I'd imagine a bathroom contractor would know considering they sometimes glue mirrors onto bathroom walls. Tom Message
