I took mine out this morning in order to take it to the radiator shop for cleaning. I left the surround in the car. The only time I've removed the surround was when I was removing the engine. Charle

I pretty sure I removed the radiator on its own when changing the water pump on the 73 B, and certainly when repairing the radiator itself on the 75 V8. PaulH.
