J.C. Whitney sells seat cushion padding for VW seats which perhaps can be trimmed to fit your seats. This stuff is rally felt padding rather than foam (which JCW also sells) and might hold up better

Another option is to take your seats to a local auto upholstery shop and let them do it. I had the seats for my spitfire done for $85 each and I basically gave them the frames and said build me some
