Bumper bolt holes vs jack points, and rationale for choice. While the discussion seems to center on relative strength, and reductions due to corrosion influencing choice, a good look at some of the s

My two cents on this is, I wouldn't trust the bumper mount threads in the frame horns to do much more than hold the bumper on. I tried bolting a tow bar to these points once and the bolts pulled out

There is also a small vent hole on the transmission top cover and another on the back of the rear axel housing. However the fluids in those are thick and may not leak too much. Also the gas tanks ha

Dave, Maybe I wasn't clear. This "cradle" rolls the car up to about 45 degrees, not upside down. It allows good access to the underneath, and may have to be done in the other direction as well to rea

My question is: would you try this on your Tiger?? I would also be worried about fluid leakage, like the brake juice dripping in the engine compartment, gasoline drippings on the outside etc. Steve h

I'm sure I've seen pictures of one of these rigs that tipped the car well past 45 degrees, to nearly 90. It was from Germany, if I recall correctly. I know my Tiger would produce an ecological nightm

Stu, 1) When it leaks, stop cranking? 2) Drain the fluids? This is a cheap hoist for your home, not a rottiserie for a shell. 3) Pay 4 times as much and get the 4 poster lift? (makes the rest of the
