I guess the thread is in danger of being lost in all this....BUT Rover V8 into Stag conversions are quite common here in Oz where the original engines seem to have (as we tend to say over here) "drop

Several times now, I have seen ads for Triumph Stags declaring that they had "the original Rover V8" engine. Personally, I've always thought Stags were ugly, but then I like the look of my Rover 3500
