Seems like a false economy to me. Rubber items *do* degrade over time and ought to be replaced when they do. Granted some plugs (those big ones in the floor) might be worth reusing, but you can get a

I agree with this sentiment, but I'd like to add that from my experience, buying new rubber for a Triumph is a crapshoot. The quality of most of what I've purchased for my cars (from various vendors)
