- Rust is like cancer that is impossible to kill totally. "Rust converters" like phosphoric acid (Ospho) do a good job. But, taking down to bare metal and proper prep and paint are about as good as any

- Until someone turned them in, and the DEQ stepped on them, we had a local company that would 'dip' your frame/body at a reasonable price. Acid bath. Seemed to remove all rust. I was a day late... Her

- The cheap stuff at Home Despots is phosphoric acid, or Ospho is an old trade name.
