The SCCA STS Class will be run as a SFR Regional class starting in Round 3. It will run in the same run group as Street Touring (R tires) class, which in Round 3 is run group 7. STS entrants will cou

STS will get two fewer drops than other classes; if we have 16 events, that will be two. If we have 15, that will mean only one drop for STS. This is the way we did it when Street Touring was introd

On any controversy on the STS index: What Andy McKee was upset about last night was the index that Howard Duncan was using at the San Bernardino Pro, which is quite different from the one we use gen

Nobody's running Howie's index at SFR events, unless you want to restructure for your own amusement. We're using the PAX index, period. Howie changes his rules too often to maintain any kind of consi

Don't put words in my mouth so quickly, Pat. I prefer Dave's PAX numbers because they are at least based on results from SoloII events, not ProSolo. Pro's require very different PAX numbers because

I think you are wrong to say that our courses are similar to Topeka, while other Regions are not. In fact, one complaint I have had is that ours (generally) are not enough like Topeka to be good prep

Every class that isn't a spec class is a PAXed class, every car in the class is given the same PAX. Is this fair? Rarely. Saying the pax index is a work of fiction is only as true as pointing out how

They have enough time, even, to check the car color. :-) It's only when a car is poorly marked, or the card is poorly filled out (crummy handwriting), or incomplete information that problems arise. -
