Check to see that you don't have the fuel lines attached to the vent fittings instead of the fuel inlets. Easy to do on the 405's, especially the front one, which has three fittings, one of which is

There are two things that could cause your problem. 1. You messed up the hose connections and are pumping fuel directly into the cannister. It is not hard to confuse the vent with the fuel intake. 2.
