Does anyone have a diagram or layout of how the lines should be connected on the SU carbs. Even a diagram written by hand is good enough I have a 71 MGB, and have no clue how to get this thing runnin

On my 74 MGB the fuel bowls are vented to the charcoal cannister. If for any reason the float is not successfully closing the inlet needle valve, fuel will indeed come gushing out. Fix that float val

This would be a big help to me too, as the DPO removed the carbs from my 66 and proceeded to lose all of the linkages and associated plumbing!! == Dan DiBiase Dayton, NJ '76 MGB Tourer - Brooklands G

There is no return line. If you are pumping gas out of the carbs then (A) the float needle valves are stuck open or (B) you have an aftermarket fuel pump that is putting out more than 3PSI fuel press

I suspect the plumbing is a little different between a 66 and a 71. Smog stuff, you know... On the 66, it's pretty darn simple. The metal fuel line comes up the passenger side (NA) of the firewall an

If fuel is pouring out, it's likely thet the float valves aren't shutting off the fuel flow from the pump. Cheers, CR

I finally got a chance to take a few pictures. Last year, someone else was trying to figure out what hoses connected where, particularly on the one float bowl top with three hose fittings. I ended up
