I am replacing my carb on my 1980 MGB. I have been told that a SU 135 is what I need. What does the 135 mean, and where can I get more information about the 135? What is different on the 135? Thomas

An AUD 135, perhaps, which is an HS4. The AUD number is the model number which denotes things like dimensions, spring type and other variables. Needles were quoted separately as any AUD number could

I don't know what you "need" but I replaced the ZS carbs with SU HIF's for a 1976 MGB that is driven for cruisin'. HF4's might have even been better because they can be worked on easier. Bill '76B w

Personally I can't think of anything where the HIFs are easier to work on than HSs, quite the reverse. On HIFs the carbs have to be removed to get at the float chamber and valve, and a new O-ring fit
