- To me (being a Dumb-A**), the only way for fuel to come out the overflow is for the needle valve and seat to open. I had one that had pin-holes in that permitted the float to take on fuel and sink in

- Run a test by shutting off the pump before upping the RPM's. There will be enough gas in the bowls to run the engine for a bit and it will remove the pump from the equation. Larry Miller

- resonant vibration ? a slightly mismatched set of pistons & rods? something in the rotating mass(balancer right back through the flywheel / clutch assembly) not "spot on" balance wise? my guess is no
