I am in the process of recovering my seats, but for some reason I cannot remove the seat recliner lever. I have removed the screw from the lever centre, but the lever won't budge! How is it attached?

Assuming you have a 1500, the lever is a square hole that fits over a square peg. Once the screw is removed, it SHOULD pull straight off. Sounds like it may be rusted. Greg Rowe _____________________

The lever is held on with a solid layer of rust! Use a punch or screwdriver and hammer to tap it off. Joe

I usually mark the spark plug wires with wire numbers and engrave the numbers on the distributor cap. Saves allot of time and aggravation !!!

I managed to get it off last night using a claw hammer and quite a lot of force. The lever is very slightly damaged underneath, but won't notice once the lever is back on. Hopefully I should get the
