Tod: I agree -- mine came that way, but it's now chrome. Mine pretty much came apart during disassembly. I'm sure there's a plastic dip out there that'll do the job when the time comes to put it all

A couple of things I failed to mention. Notice in the scan that the black shifter ring used different screws then the chrome one. These are listed as part number 9056050 and are black. I know because
