- Make sure they havn't been overtightened or distorted in any other way, there is no reason why level surfaces and a good gasket of the correct thickness won't give an adequate seal. MGB. have /// or

- Hello. The best way to fix this common leak is. To use a rubber gasket on rear cover and a cork gasket on front. I also use a gasket sealant on front gasket. Not silicone. John, Flintstone, GA /// or
