I have heard rumours of this problem of the silicone leaking thru in the switch and destroying it sounds like it's confirmed now. I have adapted the brake switch from an old dodge and it works fine.

Thanks for all the ideas. It seems sillycone and hydraulic switches don't mix. I appreciate all the ideas on a pedal mounted switch but the A40 pedals are alot like a Mini, coming out of a flat bulkh

I started using Silicone fluid about 19 or 20 years ago and have long since stopped using it because of that and other problems. LMA Castrol really works better in the long run. Way cheaper too. I ro

I used it in my Bugeye for 10 years with no problems . I used the car to commute 70 mi. a day to work and back . Stock brake light switch , new brake lines , new rubber parts , disk brakes in front .
