I have just received 4 Silverstone 8 spokes for my TR-6 which were purchased from fellow lister Bruce Harding. They are in very good shape overall, much better than they looked in the photos acually.

Powdercoating will definitely work, and is quite tough and long lasting (although it is possible to chip it). Don't know about anodizing magnesium, but I wouldn't think it would work. Aluminum oxide

Yeah they are pure magnesium as all of the orig Silverstones were. And were never strictly street legal for that reason. The modern day repos are alloy. Weight and appearance wise the differences are

P/C will last 50 times longer than anadoizing, looks better and the only maintenance is wash them off with a hose, just one quick reminder, they must be clear coated from the U/V light, otherwise the

Apply the color coat as usual, after the color pigment has flowed out to a slick glossy finish, remove it from the oven and apply the clear coat right then, most of it will melt from the metal heat,
