I just looked at the Moss on-line catalog for thermostat 434-165 and it shows that it is for MGs and not available. Could you have transposed some numbers? Ned Smith BJ8 near Chattanooga, TN N34.98 W

What is the reason for changing the pressure on the radiator cap. This is something that we have been doing for many years, it is simple you raise the boiling point of the water in the cooling system
