I've attacked this problem before but it's back, and worse. With one of the Tiger's windows opened, partially or completely, and the other closed, I immediately smell a very strong exhaust smell (or

Steve two things you mentioned in the first paragraph caught my eye. The single open window and highway speeds. My hunch is the Bernoulli Principle at work. The partially open window is pulling a vac

I haven't seen it on mine, but I've heard that a leaky trunk gasket or similar could cause exhaust smells in the cockpit, even with a good exhaust system. Also, are you sure your firewall is well sea

Since you at first thougth gas tank fumes, I susspect a crack or puncture in the vent crossover tube between the tanks. I had the same problem when I replaced the tauno hold dowmn studs.. One of the

Your problem is most likely related to the negative pressure in the passenger compartment created with one window closed. We don't know for sure where the "smell" originates, but I can tell you about

Hi Steve, If you think it's possibly coming from the exhaust tips behind the car, then extend them a foot or so by taping some paper towel rolls onto their ends, and see if the problem persists. Also

I read Tom Hall's post and it does seem a logical place for fumes to infiltrate. If that is your source then rather then using spray foam which can be rather messy, try the foam pipe insulation that

Tom and everyone: It appears you are correct! On the other hand, I did say the Tiger is running fine. I didn't say it was smelling fine! Of course, this is probably irrelevant. I'm sure the car did k

Please post your findings because I've had the same problem for over 10 years. Since 99 % of the time I drive top down it hasn't been an issue. I've always thought it was a bad trunk gasket and have

I was asleep when the original post was made. What is the smell? Is it a raw gas smell or exhaust? They are not the same. I have had the gas smell before and that was fixed, haven't had exhaust smell
