Mayf, that IS interesting, especially the Hall gearbox setup. Couple things jump out, I imagine this was a four-speed gearbox with the torque converter and no clutch. So, when he selected first gear

All I can say is the difference between a good 4-Speed and a T-400 is 50 HP. Would think the modern OD is equally as bad if not worse. How hard do you have to work with your engine to get an extra 50

When I read the article I got the impression that the cranked it in gear and didn't do much shiffting, the gave the speed ranges of each gear. wmts Mayf, that IS interesting, especially the Hall gear
