Start with bigger pump jets. You can call Pierce Manifolds (Google them) and tell them about your engine and they can suggest the proper jetting to start with

did the engine ever run well with the 45DCOE on it? Otherwise, sounds like the accel. pump or progression circuit is suffering from lack of fuel....maybe a low fuel level in the float bowl, clogged

If it was running fine, suspect some varnish in the carb or on the jets. If my Weber sits for a month, I get gummed up stuff that clogs all the fuel passages. A can of carb cleaner and a disassemble

Ooo-ooo! That reminds me...and make sure the little set screws under the carb that hold the aux venturis didn't back out. I had that happen last year, the aux vent was wiggling and it was intermitten
