- use a scissor jack or small bottle hydraulic jack with a 2x4 across the width of the opening and you should beable to stretch the opening enough to accomodate the tire and wheel. I had to do this ye

- If you don't want to run a tire jack through the hole, you need to determine a few things. 1) if you got new 60 spoke tires, is the rim wider than the original 48 spoke tires that came with your car

- For my BN7 spare I have an old Michelin 165x15 from the 70s. A little worn and I believe the cross section is a bit less than current 165s. Still have to wiggle it a bit to get it in the hole howeve

- If you do get in, you will find that it is much harder to get out. Mine (165-15) fits very tightly, and was almost impossible to pull back out after 6 or 8 months. The tire tends to stick to the bott
