I know the Tiger spare tire hold down is supposed to be longer than the Alpine hold down. What is the length of the screw for the Tiger hold down? What is the length of the Alpine hold down? I think

My hold down screw (from B9470166) is 1 3/4" from the back of the bolt head to the tip. The back of the bolt head also is where the hold down plate is located (captured by the assembly) and it looks

The Rootes part book list three different hold downs. Standard wheels from Series III up to Series V B395009817 used part # 2227552. Standard Wheels from B395009818 and Tiger MKI used part number 223

Don't think so. The good one I have is 1-5/8" from the tip of the bolt to the back of the hat. If I take in account the thickness of the hat I could get to 1-3/4". Is that how you measured yours? Th

I measured from the back of the hat and then after your comments went back and checked the bolt again. There is also a small recess in the hat that I had not noticed the first time that is about 1/8
