- Hi Neil; I Agree. 100% but what I'm wonderin is why this one (4hp B&S) don't have 'that' snap or a "hot blue" spark,.... its just a 'so-so' 1/8" spark model... :-( mebbe I need a new coil ..... Cheer

- Yes! I was thinking along those same lines Tom. A voltmeter ! I think I will try it on my variour vehicles this weekend and see if I can learn anything & establish a 'baseline' If I do I will be sure

- Be careful using a voltmeter. As I recall, that spark is about 20,000+ volts. And it's going to be way too fast for a voltmeter to see. And if it can jump that spark gap, it may also jump the gap bet

- The only true way to measure spark output is with an ignition oscilloscope or some type of inductive output tester. Snap On does make such a device and it does work. If you need a part number I can g
