IMS, the drive gear for the speedo is a right-angled casting that fits onto the tranny housing. There are different gear rations for OD and for non-OD. See if you can find the gear from an OD car. --

I had the same problem when I put in an OD transmission. Fortunately, I had two different sppedometers - the one in my 71 BGT and an extra from a previously owned 65 B. One reads about 5-10% too slo

I think this might be in error. The speedo is different, not the right angle drive, it is always 1-1. Either get a proper speedo or have it recalibrated by an instrument shop. I just went through th

INHO, all the right angle speedometor drive adaptor's are the same. I base this on the fact that all these adapters have the same Moss P/N regardless of application (i.e. early box, late box, O/D box

Just yesterday I was told that the O/D trannies don't use angle drives. Was my informant mistaken? My advice is to get tires the size that will make the speedo accurate. Okay, what does IMS stand for

Ya gotta have them for LH OD's. The output from the tranny is crammed right up against the tunnel, and you can't even get the right angle on unless the rear of the tranny is dropped down. Been there,
