John, do you know what year the OD is from? For some reason I thought that all the TR6 speedos had the same calibration: 1000. What is the calibration printed on your speedo? Probably you could get t

It has been a while since I had my OD apart, but I think the OD drive is held in place with a cross bolt. Remove the bolt and the drive spindle is able to be removed without much trouble. It can almo

Yes, you are right. I had meant, I thought the TR6 speedos were always 1000 with the J-type. I was not positive if they had differing drive gears for the A-types or not. On the earlier cars with the

I think of it as 1.5:1 (output shaft turns 1.5 revolutions for every revolution of the speedo cable), but otherwise that's right. Also true of the J-type, again we're just talking semantics here. To
