Hi all, The speedometer on my 69, 1600 is off about 15 mph. In 4th gear it shows about 15 mph slower than I am actually driving. Any ideas? Glen 69, 1600

Lucky you, mine was in excess by 15 which does wonders to get the cops attention. hehehehe Lucky me, as it took him a while to catch up and he missed me exiting because I was in front of a dump truck

Check your odometer between mile markers on the highway. If the odometer is off then the trans pinion needs to be changed. If it is correct then the speedo needs to be calibrated. On the 69 they come

It varies. Usually off by 15mph at higher speeds, and 10 or more at low speeds. In the old days I'd be flying by everyone else thinking I'm doing 65, when it's really doing 80. I've got a 1600 rear-e
