I'm going to look at a 71 Spitfire this afternoon. I've been looking at the VTR site to get some info before I go. I read that the Mk 3 Spitfire has a 1296 cc engine. I know my 74 Midget has a 1275 c

The 74 Midget has an Austin Engine. The Spitfire has a Stanpart engine. There are virtually no interchangeable parts. The rubber bumper midget w/ 1500 is an enlarged version of the stanpart engine. R

The 1275 engine in your Midget is light years away from the one in a Spitfire. Although, the engines in the rubber bumper Midgets are a bored out version of the Spit engine. Spitfires (I believe in
