Hi Roger, I had the same problem with the rear trim on my '80 Spitfire. Ended up using one of the higher quality gloss black enamel spray paints, with reasonably good results. Cecil '65, '80 Spitfire

On my Spitfire, the black trim pieces on the rear body seams are in need of being refinished. Has any one refinished them with any luck? It almost looks like a plastic coating instead of paint, but I

I have a '78 Spit. I was told the black trim is 'black chrome'. It polishes up with chrome cleaner.
