No problem at all with the use of the Pertronix Ignitor and the Sport coil at all. It works with pretty much any coil that was standard on the MG. Best regards, Jeff Zorn Little British Car Co., Ltd

Just a side note on the coils. Pertronix offers both a 1.5 and a 3ohm FlameThrower 40,000 volt coil for just this reason. The 3 ohm will work on 4 and 6 cylinder and the 1.5 ohm on 6 and 8 cyl. The F

6v/1.5ohm coils on the later MGBs already have an external ballast in the feed from the ignition switch (or relay) to the +ve terminal on the coil to raise the total resistance in the ignition circui
