Everything will work normally, just not at the full potential of the coil. You'll need to remove the ballast resistor wire from circuit and run an auxilliary wire that supplies the full 12.v (actuall

Well, I'm real confused now. For a '72 TR6, do I remove the wire or add another wire? And where is this resistor. It doesn't seem to be noted on my Bentley's. The (D)PO painted all the wires black at

Hi Bill. I took a 12 volt line from the fusebox to the coil. It wont hurt to run off the ballasted wire, it just means you aren't using the full potential of the coil. In fact I just bought a Mallory
