Can the bypass hose between the water pump and underside of the thermostat housing (1275cc engine, Sprite Mk.IV) be changed with those components in place, or does the water pump have to be removed (

Yes, and DO NOT use that accordian hose unless you want to replace it regularly, very regularly, monthly most likely. Cut a piece of 1/2" heater hose a bit short of the space between the head and w/p
