and I would deffinately check the coil. I had a very similar experience with my '63 MG (including a coil that was right out of the box!). My only guess was that the coil got hot and started to fail.

Hey Ken, Based on a similar set of symtoms exhibited by Yellow, my '66 Plus 4, some years ago, I would suggest the coil as the most likely problem. However, a bad condenser can certainly cause these
