I can vouch for the engine problems... within 1,000 miles after buying my '71 Stag the engine started knocking, oil pressure went to zero and the whole thing's gotta be rebuilt. Darn Buick V6... OTOH

The chevy V6 I have in mine is doing a great job! I still cant understand why anyone would put the water pump at the highest point in the colling system on any motor, let alone the ones with cast iro

About 10 years ago I helped a buddy try to resurrect a Stag with a bad motor. ISTR the internal water pump's jackshaft and gears had gotten into a fight and reduced each other to a fine metallic slus
