Sounds like mine. I replaced it with a lifetime guarantee job, but you can rebuild them as well. The replacement was about $100 IIRC, I think that doing a rebuild should be much cheaper than that...

The solonoid is attached to the starter. It's contacts can burn to the extent that the terminals are welded together. So, the starter keeps running. Or, the solonoid is sticking. It could have stuck
