Hi Larry, This is a tricky one to do. You need to compress the heavy spring on the end of the drive so you expose more of the split wire in the recess. You can then remove that wire clip and washer a

If it is like mine, I used a pair of vise grips to squeeze the thick spring down and was able to slide the circlip off once the tension was off the clip. Worked pretty good. --David
