OK list.... 66 1600 will not start. All I get is a clicking sound coming from the starter. Battery checks out OK. lookinf for an easy way to test starter, before I pull it out....any suggestions? tha

There are actually 2 parts that make up the starter, the starter motor and the starter solenoid. The starter solenoid is the smaller cylinder on top of the starter motor. There are a number of wires

My starter is beginning to give me grief (just ask the NOWROC members who cheerfully(?) gave me a push start off the ferry, and about 4 other times through out the day!). P/O reciepts show the start

My starter has been acting up lately. It turns fine for about two-three seconds but then it is intermitent. Almost like a weak battery. But the battery is new and strong. It is the starter going out

One trick you may want to try, is temporary use a "remote starter" push button. One end is connected to the battery, the other is connected to the spade connector on the starter. Idea is to hit the
