I think I remember factory specs say it's OK to drop to 15-25# on hot idle, but even after a long, hard run inhot weather on the interstates, in my experience a B engine in reasonably good condition

Because it is the same at idle and off idle, and even more so if it is the same at hot idle and cold off-idle, I would get a second opinion on the gauge (and transmitter for an electric gauge). PaulH
