- I used a pickle fork to great effect in removing the steering column from the steering box. A large chisel can also be used to seperate the clamp so the column comes off. I also at times had to smack

- Ron Hamilton told me how to do this. Use a good set of vise grips. Attach it to the shaft and tap the shaft out of the U joint with a hammer striking the side of the vise grips. Worked like a charm f
