I agree that the switch should be open in the OFF position, but I suspect that the problem is in the motor assembly. Somewhere hidden in the motor assembly is another switch. This switch closes and

I installed a new wiper switch from SS, but I still can't get the wipers to work properly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't there be some setting for the switch that results in an open circuit?
