- What speaks against unbolting the fan, refitting the bolts, checking they are not fouling now there is less thickness and doing it that way? Not that I would be too familiar with the TR4, but... Gern

- I had a machine shop shorten the extension. Rewelded the fan flange onto the flange which attaches to the pulley, and it has worked just fine. I also had the bolt shortened. D. Brown
