Dear Listers: According to our Alpine parts list (revised June 1968), the Alpine Series I & II had the six blade fan, part# P111343 superseded by 1201193. Starting with the Series III trough Series V

All this talk about 4-6 blade fans had me check my S2 and it does have the original 6 blades, however, which has the most air flow capacity? At one time I was told a 4 blade could actually move more

It's more a question of safety than anything else. 4 bladed fans are prone to throwing a blade up through your hood while 6 blade fans are far more robust. Scott Christie -- Original Message -- From:
