My '71 B had been running poorly as of late (barely would run at all, not really drivable). I replaced the Bosch plugs in it yesterday with new Champion ones, and it fired right up and ran great. The

My first guess would be that the fuel mixture is too rich. And if so, the car would tend to run better when it was cold and get worse after warmed up particularly if the car had been shut off for a v

Gas on the plugs DOES indicate lack of spark (or a very overrich carb). I have also seen ignition coils act this way as well - fine cold but would stop working once they got hot. A little cool down a

I do have a new condenser (had for 2 yrs, never replaced the old one), and a new coil on order (hoped would come today, but no mail). I hope replacement of these may help. But what is weird is that i

Just had a similar thing on a Triumph Spitfire. The spade connectors on the coil are rivetted on and had come loose. Gently pushing against the coil +ve connector would let the car start, prodding i
