I just got off the phone with Bob Stroud... I wanted to share the Data acq info with him on G loading... With the Diest Chute I'd had 2 g's at 200.... with his new Ribbon chute it was down to 1.6G. o

So he figured you didn't waste your money by guessing how it felt when you deployed the chute. Did not have to say well it wasn't as rough and seemed to stop ok and i only got 2 shoulder bruises this

I doubt that the nose would lift if the attach point is low on the rear of the car.....it would dip. This assumes that the chute is trailing perfectly and not "kiting". I have done some of this.....

I just measured my Vega. The chute hooks on at about 28 1/2 inches high. The cam in the Chrysler is at about 18 inches. Pretty hard to lift a 392 but at any rate it has always worked fine for me. Don

You have the logic backwards.......sort of. It is the flying height of the canopy that governs the angle of pull on the attach point. The attach point must be altered based on this flying height to
