Short radius turns in the cable will aggrevate the friction problem. Some time ago I bought a new choke cable which seemed to have some extra length. To "clean up" the engine bay a bit I ran it under

Did the inner move in the outer before you installed? Ditto with the cable installed but before it was attached? Have you attached the inner and outer to the correct places? If the cable is attached

Remember that the cable attaches to the fixed bracket and tha housing attaches to the linkage. It's the housing that moves the linkage. CR
