It's possible in high ambients. In my V8 on a hot (UK) summers day I have heard the fuel boiling in the float chambers and seen vapour pouring out of the overflow pipe. Next start after cooling down

My guess would be evaporative loss, not necessarily unusual. Did you also install the heat shield with the HS4s? It is also possible to have leakage on the jet tubes that go to the bottom of the floa
